So, on Saturday late afternoon, DH and I went to Snoopy's! It's our favorite seafood place to go to! Snoopy's is on the water, and the food is great! We enjoy looking at all of the different birds that come to roost on the posts at the boat docks. My favorite are the brown Pelicans! I love to watch them fly, and I love it when they land with their wings spread out, then settle on the post and lay their head on their chests and go to sleep. It's just awesome watching them. I also like to see the white cranes (or herons? - gotta look that up), fly in with their tall skinny necks and their great white wing span landing either on the posts, or the water, just below where we are eating on the deck. That water is filled with fish and minnows. We love to watch them catch them too! Uh-Hem... while we drink our Buds and Coronas. :) Ahhh...... I always feel so relaxed there watching the sun go down. Good evening.

So, on Sunday we went to see X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It was fantastic! I did get a taste of what Wolverine would look like on Gary's page, and some of the advertisements, but to see it on a full screen over and over again------ WOO HOO!!! Yeah, sweet eye candy. :) But, really the movie was great too! I always know that when the critics give a thumbs down to a movie, that I will really enjoy it. I learned that a long time ago.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok, so after the movies we stopped in at Lowe's to look at some stuff that we need. Hopefully, we will be doing some remodeling, as soon as the loan is approved! Keep your fingers and toes crossed!
One of the items we have been talking about is a Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System, cuz DH is tired of picking up cases of bottled water! I drink a lot of water all day, so they go fast and the $$ adds up! I had been telling him about this system, but it took until yesterday for him to actually look at one at Lowe's. AND, he would have never gone to look for one if I had not suggested for us to go in and look around. I was in the appliance area looking for new stoves and microwaves! I spent a lot of time in there. When DH got tired, he went looking around. I was excited to find him looking at that water system! So, we purchased it and it must of taken him at least 3 hours to install it!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, I started dinner while he began to install the system (uh, after I cleared out all of the cleaning products from underneath the sink)! No telling where I will put all of those bottles of household cleansors bug sprays, wasp sprays, etc., cuz the system took up a lot of room and there are so many tubes in there. He had the water off while he was working. I told him I needed water to boil the spaghetti, but I would wait till he was through. He looked at me cross-eyed; and I said unless you're hungry now...... He said "I'll turn on the water". LOL
Poor thing, tired and hungry. Ok, so while he is out back turning off the water, I'm just waiting in the kitchen. When I turn to look at the TV to kill time, I see this stream of water shooting out in a wide curve, landing on the couch! AHHHHH... (I scream).... then run for the osmosis faucet he has already installed, and I turn it to the sink and hold it there until DH comes back.
THE COUCH AND PILLOWS ARE SOAKED!! So the spaghetti has to wait until I pull everything off of the couch and soak up the excess water (most of it had soaked in the bottom of the couch, below the cushions); then put the pillows some place to dry. A wet kink in our day - LOL.
After dinner, DH finishes up. Then he tells me that he has to leave the large faucet on for 2 hours to purge it I guess - water tastes the same. THEN he tells me that the new water faucet has to remain on for 24 hours!! Do y'all realize that will be until 8:45 tonight?!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, I have no water today. All that is left for me to drink is.... Wine.... beer.... diet soda (which I can only stand one in the morning and one in the evening - if any). So that leaves Wine and Beer!
I can do that! Oh, I've diluted my wine with ice, so it won't be strong. I've also left ice out to melt to actually drink water! It's been kinda fun, drinking so early in the day - LOL! Don't worry y'all, I've spread them out!
DANG! I just thought that I could have boiled some water and made some tea! DANG, that I never thought of it! Well, maybe for dinner. BESIDES, I wouldn't have a buzz right now!
CHEERS! EVERYONE!
Memorial weekend
So, how was everyone's weekend? Did everyone get a holiday off on Monday? My DH did. Good for him. He works too hard.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On Saturday, we went to visit Jeffrey and we took him a beautiful silk flower arrangement that had been pre-made. I decided that it looked so simple, that I'm going to start doing them from now on. Anyway, his grass looks beautiful! We have been fertilizing it, and watering it, and it's been growing so fast (thus we need to mow it more frequently); and It is so green!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've always wanted to create a flower boarder around his place so that his would be distinguishable from the others. But DH kept giving me reasons why it wouldn't work, because the flowers would be mowed over. I suggested that we could weed whack the grass. He didn't like that idea. I had thought about that, but kept thinking there must be a way! I had pretty much given it up, cuz I knew the flowers would be mowed and then we would need to replace them, and that would be often.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, a new grave was placed, and the family did exactly what I wanted to do! They put small silk roses around the grave! I went to look at it. They had a string of tiny roses held down by, what looked like long staples (I don't know what they would be called). I got excited, but DH noticed that the grass was weed whacked and it did not look good. Sadly, I had to agree. POOH!
So, the last time that DH mowed the grass, he edged the grass around Jeffrey's area. It looks very nice! Especially, since the whole area around us has not been kept up like we do for Jeffrey's place.

My heart goes out to those families & friends, whom
have had to memorialize a loved one this weekend.
Although, those of us who have lost a loved one,
know that we memorialize them every day.

AMERICAN IDOL
Wow! Did y'all see last night's Idol? It was the season finale where the American Idol is named. I've only watched just a few shows towards the end, but fell in love with Adam Lambert. Actually, I really thought the final 3 were excellent singers, but Adam had it all. Besides his amazing voice, he was an entertainer. He was confident and was just amazing when he made the songs his very own!
I did like Kris Allen too. He does have an awesome voice, but I thought he wasn't quite in the same league as Adam.
Well, remember the game that is played "the 6th degree of Kevin Bacon"? I think that's the name of the game, or close - this might be somewhat like that. Well, Kris's uncle lives next door to my brother! So, all season there was running back and forth between the houses to cheer on Chris. Weird coincidence. I'm just waiting to get invited for the "block party" that his uncle is going to throw for Kris! :)
This Idol finale was the Best show thus far. Not only did they have many talented singers, but the guest singers were Fantastic! Great choices! My fav or course, was Santana!
Then, they did give away trophies to several of the worst singers (for one reason or another that had auditioned).
The funniest and last give away was to this girl who showed up in a bikini (as she did in the audition & of course, sang horribly); and she ran up on the stage (even though Ryan was trying to go to commercial) and grabbed the mike out of his hand and started singing! While she was singing, the original artist who sings the song came out and finished the song for her. The original Bikini girl tried to keep up with her, but no contest (haha - no pun intented). The original artist had been dared by Idol to wear a bikini, so she did, for charity. Too Funny.
Ok, I know, it might have been staged, but at the time I believed it was real. Anyway, just too funny!
Wish Adam had won, but no worries there, he probably got a recording contract last night!

Just Where in the HECK have I been???!!!???
HI ALL! It's been quite awhile since I've been on here. I hope that everyone has been in good health and happy.
I have been going out of town SO MUCH!! Most of our relatives live out of town, and there have been lots of holidays, birthdays, 1st communions, etc. WHEW! I'm so glad to be home!!! This weekend we will be house/dog sitting, but that's in town, and she always leaves goodies on the counter (wine, cookies, cakes...) I KNOW!!! I keep telling her... I'm starting a diet today..... Uh, I'm going to start eating healthier this week...... Well, that just goes out the window when I see her fresh baked goodies!! And, WINE!
AND, she has a HUGE pool (looks Olympic sized to me - but I know better... hehe); so I can get some laps in! And, of course, get started on my tan! I've gone WHITE AGAIN (you know- pale)!!
Well, today DH was supposed to either bring me the truck (and I would take him back to work); or get off early so I/we could go to the beach. I texted him this morning (8:30); and he asked when? I said anytime. I'm getting ready now. I should have said "Now". But, I know how many meetings he is in during the day, so I was giving him some leeway! Well, he never got back to me. :( So, I guess he was super busy today. POOH! Oh well, that just means I have to get up at dark thirty tomorrow so I can go to the beach!
I just know some funny things happened while I was gone! DANG, if I can remember any of them! That memory of mine just works when it wants too! LOL
Now, it's time for me to catch up on my blog reading! TTYL!! ;)
