WHEW! Am I tired!

~~~~~~We've been getting this house ready for Alexis' visit for a good while now. She will be here any minute and I just now sat down and I am pooped!
~~~With the addition of the new furniture, getting Christmas decorations out, and moving all the other stuff around, AND CLEANING, there is just no end to cleaning.
~~~~~~~~Oh yeah! And, just what if her dog, uh, I mean Piper, decides to throw up all of the food she just gobbled down like there was no tomorrow? YUP, just Upchucked it in a neat little pile. Only difference coming out was that it was now, green and slimy. Did y'all just picture that? UGH. Sorry for the lovely mental picture I gave y'all. hehe... Technically, it is her dog, cuz she is the one who paid for it, right? I know, I know..... YES, love her!
~~~~~We blew up the mattress again for Alexis to sleep on, and we will see how long it will hold air. So far, so good. We decided to wait for our daughter to get home to decorate the tree. The presents are all wrapped waiting to go underneath it.
~~~~~OH, guess what else Jesse's dog did?! She is literally EATING a hole in the fence and digging underneath!! We're gonna have to block off that side now, until we can put up a new fence! AAGGHHH...!!! Did y'all catch that? Whenever Piper does something that's a no-no... She is either Jesse's dog or Alexis' dog. When she does something cute, I say oh, look how cute she is, quick, grab the camera!
~~~~~The week is only beginning. Bently (Alexis' 5lb yorkie) will be here to run amuck-amuck with Piper and cause havoc! We will keep the camera handy!

Not sure when I will get back on here, but just in case I don't before Christmas,
EVERYONE, HAVE A WONDERFUL MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

PIPER!!!!

The other day, Piper escaped underneath the desk, tangling herself in the wires, while I was sitting there, and managed to pull down the keyboard and whatever the wires pulled down off the desk, including my computer glasses! One minute is all it took. I saw her run under there, screamed and pulled her out, everything went flying, including my computer glasses! I literally saw them go up, up, but I had more important things to tend to, "Piper". After I banned her from the computer room, I could not find my glasses anywhere!
It took me 3 days to find my glasses (ok, not every minute was dedicated to searching for the glasses). I ended up finding them between the desk and the hard drive. I guess that's one way to clean off the desk!
Ok, how many people have children go off to college, and then they get their own home, and decide that they own the bed they slept in as a child, so they want it for their own guest room? Well, that's what our daughter did, after the bed was in our home while she was in college for 7 years (graduate school), then she lived in an apartment for 3 years before she bought a home. What were we to do? We bought a double air bed, comfy these days, but not so wide as to move around. So we just bought a "Queen" air bed, which is great cuz it practically blows up itself and deflates itself. That is.... unless you have a rambunctious dog.
Our daughter is coming home on Tuesday, so we are getting her room ready, and Piper just got all excited and couldn't stop barking AND JUMPING on the bed while Jesse was blowing it up! He had to get her down several times, as she was jumping like a bunny rabbit! She just loved that it bounced!!! OMG!!! Just like a kid!!! Well... POOH!!! She punctured a hole in the bed!!
Luckily we had the repair kit, and it seems to be working fine, but now we have to keep that door closed, and No telling what's gonna happen when daughter brings her 5lb Yorkie with her and Piper tries to jump on the bed!!
Oh, it's just something exciting we get to look forward to. :~D

PICTURES OF THE NEW FURNITURE!

Here are the rest of the pictures of the new furniture. This is a "behind the couch table", but we are using it as an entrance table. This picture is just to show you how it is being used.

Here is the rest of the table:
This is the end table. Here is the Coffee Table: Here is the kitchen table. We love sitting up High:

Here is a better picture of the chairs:

Well, that's what I purchased and surprised DH with! As a matter of fact, he liked it so much, that we went back the next day and bought the matching TV stand! And, THEN, we went to buy a 46" flat screen TV (this is what I had been hinting for, for Christmas, before I knew I was gonna get this furniture)! WHOA! Was that a surprise!! After not having new furniture for 20 years, I think this makes up for that. LOL
So, now, we get to surprise our daughter when she comes home!

P.S.: Don't miss the pictures of the Curio Cabinets, posted below!

PICTURES OF THE CURIO CABINETS!

Well folks, I'm sorry for the delay, but finally, I was able to load the pictures of the new furniture. And then I was able to find them! They had decided to go into computer cyberland and I couldn't find them for a while!

Here are the Curio Cabinets:
In these you might be able to see some of the Transformers and other figures better:
Here are some other ones:

I wonder if some of the guys recognize these characters.
In the next picture, on the bottom shelf, is a deck (main part of skateboard) that one of Jeffrey's best friends had made for his shop, and he gave it to me the other day. He wanted Jeffrey to have it in his room. We thought the cabinet would be appropriate. The name on the board is the name of his shop "The Board Shop" (surfboards/skateboards). If you look at it sideways, you can see a skull. (Don't know why, but the boys are just crazy about skulls, on anything!)

I just love these Curio Cabinets! I think they are perfect for Jeffrey's things. Merry Christmas Jeffrey. We Love You.

FURNITURE ARRIVED!!

Well folks, Cheryl and I worked all morning moving stuff around, and in the garage! Bigger job than we thought! Remember, I could not do anything until DH was gone! DH went xmas shopping and left us, he told us so we could hang out for the day like we had planned.
I told him to call me when he was coming home, in case I wanted him to pick up anything.
~~~~~~The guys arrived on time, right at 1:00! We had called to see if they could deliver earlier, but they couldn't.
~~~~~~After everything was in it's place and the guys left, Cheryl and I went to dusting and cleaning the glass, on everything. We decided to leave the glass shelves out of the Curio Cabinets because they were heavy, and we thought that DH would enjoy helping me put all of Jeffrey's collectibles inside. So, I got all of the collectibles out of the boxes and lined them up, in order, of the different types. I had two of them already sitting out, so I had to dust them.
~~~~DH called to say he was on his way. I suggested Happy Hour, but the weather had turned nasty and was rainy and cold. So, there went that idea!
~~~~When DH walked in the front door, I was standing at in the family/kitchen area, where I could see him walk in, and yelled "SURPRISE!" He just stood there checking everything out, and soaking it in. (There was still the family room and kitchen to enter!) He didn't have a scowl on his face.... it was more like.. "What???" I said aren't they (the furniture) nice? He said "Yeah..", so I went to hug him and kept talking excitedly. I walked to the family room/kitchen area, so he followed. He saw the end table between our two easy chairs; and the HUGE (tall) kitchen table! His eyes opened wide, but he went over to it and ran his hands over the top of the table. I sat on one end of the table, and urged him to sit on the chair. He loved it! But I had to keep asking him. Like it? He loved it! He said, so this is your Christmas present, huh? I corrected him. "This is our Christmas present!" BUT, he better get me something personal, cuz I already got him at least 3 things!
~~~~~~Oh, what a RELIEF that was!! After he checked out everything, he started to put in the shelves, and I started to dust off the collectibles that were in Jeffrey's room. The dust was heavy, and there were a lot of small places to get into to clean, and boy was that a chore! I ended up using wet Q-Tips. It took me a long time!
~~~~Jesse loaded everything (and I let him - while I dusted). Everything looks great! I'll get pictures loaded on here in a couple of days. Thanks for all your toes and fingers crossed, and prayers, and good thoughts coming my way! WHEW!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

~~~~~My dear hubby just told me that he TOOK OFF WORK TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I asked him why he didn't tell me, and he said, "well, I just decided today, so I could get some shopping done.". AAAAACCCCCKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!
~~~~~My friend Cheryl is coming over in the morning for breakfast and then leaving at noon for piano lesson and then will come back afterwards, just when furniture should arrive. So, I told DH that Cheryl was coming over so we could have lunch, hang out, write Christmas cards, and watch soaps. So he said that he would stay out and let us spend time together. So, I asked, so you won't come home until the afternoon? He said yes.
~~~~~There goes my idea about telling him to go out for beers with the boys! So much for my perfect planning! Maybe I can ask him to meet me for an early dinner, then we can have appetizers and drinks (hopefully to put him in a good mood)! OF ALL THE RETCHED TIMING!!
FURNITURE ARRIVES TOMORROW!
~~~Well Folks, tomorrow is "D" Day..... for me, anyway. YIKES!!
My friend Cheryl (the person I bought the furniture from) is going to come on over and help me move some stuff around to get ready for the new furniture!
~~~ It is supposed to be delivered after 1:00, so right afterwards, I'm going to call my honey and suggest.... that he go have some beers with some friends! OK, ok..... Now, I know that in itself is going to throw up a BIG RED FLAG, cuz I never do that! He usually calls me to tell me that he is going after work for a few. So, we'll see...
~~~ Keep your fingers crossed and positive thoughts coming my way, and wish me luck! I sure hope he likes the surprise!

THANKS GARY!!

I received my Christmas cup in yesterday's mail, and my 2 little surprises!

I just love the Christmas Cup (the Teacher will too) and I just LOVE my new xmas ornament - and, my new toothpick holder!! Thanks Gary!!

Curio Cabinets & MORE!

~~~You know how it is that just 5 minutes ago, I had already relayed in my head an entire first paragraph that I was going to write on my blog. Well, I rushed over here, and Ka-Blash! What was that paragraph I just so eloquently wrote in my head??
~~~ It sux getting old... they say the memory is the first to go... they may be right.

Yesterday I was stressing out big time! You see, a couple of weeks ago I decided I was gonna purchase the curio cabinet that I have been saving up for to put all of Jeffrey's comic book statutes and figures collections, to display them in. I have a dear friend that just happens to work in a furniture store, and she was keeping an eye open for a cabinet for me. Well, one came in that was perfect! I went ahead and purchased one. While I was there, I looked over some other furniture. Hmm..... they were having a great sale with no interest for x amount of time.... so, I picked up a couple of other things. Well, the more you buy, the better the deal is for the x-mas special that they have, Interest FREE! So, I decided to get another curio cabinet!

Ladies, y'all know what I'm talking about.... the adrenaline just gets to you, as the deal keeps getting sweeter and sweeter with the larger the purchase! I was on a HIGH!

So, I left the store feeling really good! I thought to myself, I'll just "surprise" DH after the furniture arrives and have the display cabinets all filled up! Well, as the days passed, and the time got closer and closer to the delivery date, I started having qualms about how DH would react. One day I would feel great and all excited and pictured DH's excitement as he saw what I had done! Then, the next day (even though I had gotten a Super deal), I'd start second guessing myself, wondering if DH would really be happy or MAD....

Yesterday, I received a credit card in the mail from that store. DH opened it and didn't think twice about it, and just gave it to me! :~D. I started getting nervous.... and almost said something, but since Piper had just ripped up the carpet in the living room and DH had not had lunch that day, cuz he was in meetings all day... I decided I would not tell him of what was to come on Friday (the delivery date), and just yell "SURPRISE!" I tell y'all what - I worked myself up into a frenzy! I had this Major Headache! I hadn't had this type of headache in a long time! AND, I was OUT of Wine!! I still had my headache this morning, so I looked for some Excedrin (always takes my headaches away!). I'm OUT! But, I did find some Excedrin Tension Headache meds (which I never take), but Oh My, they worked WONDERFUL! No headache! They must have caffeine in them cuz, after I dropped DH at work at dark-thirty this morning, I stopped to have a breakfast taquito with some SUPER HOT SAUCE - or was it the PICO DE GALLO (jalapenos peppers w/onion, tomato & cilantro) that was HOT! Anyway, my sinuses are cleaned out.

Does it sound like I'm on a caffeine high? Anyway, today, I'm getting the house ready for the furniture delivery on Friday. I think I will call DH on Friday after lunch and suggest that he stop for some beers after work before he comes home. Hmm.... Can't hurt.

For those of you who live close by and know me.... please, please do not let the cat out of the bag!
P.S. Please keep positive thoughts for me!

Piper Learned A Few Things

I've told y'all about our Thanksgiving trip where we ended up staying with my SIL's family and her 2 rat terriers and my daughter's TeaCup Yorkie, and of course, we brought Piper into the mix, remember?
~~~First thing she learned: Well in between the barking, running in circles, growls, nipping at each other and hair flying..., we just discovered something that she learned while she was there........ Wait for it.......... HUMPING!!! Yep, and you won't believe who she learned this from! The 5lb TeaCup Yorkie. Ok, so tonight... Piper was acting up and jumping on hubby as he sat in recliner, so he got up and turned around so he could ignore her. Well, Piper just hopped up on his leg and started humping! I had to stifle a laugh in a kitchen towel cuz hubby refused to give her any attention and just waited until she stopped. Hubby had his hand over his mouth as he tried to stifle his laugh! Ah, too funny!! {She's getting fixed in the next week or so. Does that help?)
~~~~Second thing she learned (not on the trip): So, a while back, when Piper was still a small puppy (not the 37lb 5month old puppy she is now), we were trying to potty train her by having her ring a bell hanging from the kitchen door. It worked sporadically. We basically gave up on that, cuz she didn't ring it any more. So, today, I'm watching TV and she rings the bell. Hmm.. I had just let her back in a bit ago, but I get up and open the door anyway. She just stays back and stares at me and then stares at the door. After trying to coax her out, I give up. Then, when I'm working in the kitchen she rings the bell, so I open the door again, she won't go out! After one more time, I give up! I guess she just wanted me to stop and play. So, she finally learned to ring the bell, but for the wrong reason. LOL
~~~~Tonight, hubby found a collar that belonged to our old dog, Penny, and put it on Piper. It was a little loose, and she went Nuts trying to get it off! She looked like a bucking bronco! That was too funny. We tried to get a video of it, but by the time we got the camera going, she wasn't bucking any more. After a few minutes of that, she just dropped to the floor and started snoring! Wore her plumb out! LOL
~~~~When hubby got home today, he walks into a sea of shredded carpet! Piper was confined to the front two rooms while I was in the back computer room, and she found some carpet threads sticking out, and she kept pulling and pulling until she just ripped all she could get out! AARRGGGHHH!!!!
~~~~I still wanna take her back to her previous owner, my daughter, but hubby won't let me. :-{
ThanksGiving & More
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
~~~We were supposed to go straight to our daughter's home, but at the last minute, changed our plans to go to Austin (and had our daughter join us); Hubby wanted to have TG with his father. He had just gotten out of surgery for hernia removal (botched colonoscopy related), and was fresh out of the hospital.
We stayed with my SIL & BIL and their 2 children (19 & 21); and their 2 rat terriers, our daughter's Tea Cup Yorkie, Bently (5lbs), and of course, Piper (35lbs). We got there Wednesday night.

OMG! The dogs went NUTS!! Only one of the terriers ran circles with Piper in the big backyard. Then when they were all inside, Piper wanted to play so, all 35 lbs of her jumped and boxed her big paws at the little ones. NONE of them liked it at all and viciously attacked her! At first, Piper didn't know what to do and kept playing with them. She finally realized she was being attacked, so she joined in the growling and nips here and there. There were some scratched noses and tufts of hair flying in the air. And, the echos of the growling and barks were LOUD! Then we had the adults all scrambling to grab their dogs and screaming at them to behave! Yeah, right... a lot of good that did! We diagnosed the little dogs with the Napoleon Syndrome. LOL

On TG day, we were chased out of the kitchen while SIL & BIL cooked. So, I went to visit my mom before dinner, then I went back for dinner; then went back to visit my mom to watch the Cowboys play; and was planning to go back just before the Longhorns played so we could watch it together. Did anyone see the game?? OMG!!! It was some exciting game! And, of course, the Longhorns won, which made it even more SWEET!

While I was at moms during the Cowboys game, Daughter texted me that FIL had busted some staples from his wound and he was bleeding. She said all were upset and crying, so I came on back to the house. By the time I got there, all was fine. FIL had lay down and the bleeding had stopped. Apparently, he was Not supposed to sit up straight; either lay down, or recline. Hubby & BIL took them home, and then we watched the game.

Friday we left for Dallas, and had 3 days to spend alone with our daughter, so we thought. Daughter's friends/neighbors had invited us for dinner that same night that we drove in, so we went straight over there for dinner. On Saturday, we went out for dinner, glad to have some time to ourselves. We were finally able to speak of Jeffrey, noting that this was the 3rd year without our Jeffrey at Thanksgiving. We spoke some loving words, and then made a toast to him, telling him that we loved him and missed him everyday. On Sunday night, some of daughter's friends came over for a visit, and after a while, hubby and I retreated to the den to watch FB (he did) and I read. We got home on Monday night.
Oh Yeah! Napoleon Bently and Big Piper constantly were at eachother! Napoleon was always the instigator.... Well, sort of..... But, in all fairness... Piper just wanted to play. :)
~~~Ah, not much quality time with our daughter. Maybe Christmas will be different.
Colonoscopy Should be spelled COLON-UGH-SCOPY
~~~~Had my first one yesterday. Wasn't any fun. Am very sore today (and Not in the area you'd think!). The preparation, the day before though, was horrendous!
~~~~I upchucked everything they told me to drink. It was like a scene out of the Exorcist! MANY times over! Truly! It left my Throat Hurting like the DICKENS!!
~~~The next morning, my throat still hurt - majorly!! AND, Since I upchucked everything the day before, it was an all day event in the Dr's clinic the next day. YUCK!
~~~~Came home and slept till 8:00p.m., then went to bed at 11:00.
~~~My throat finally feels better today, but am sore all over. All A-Ok, though.

P.S. I hope I didn't make anyone UpChuck!

Christmas is sneaking up on us

Yes, I know I've been M.I.A., but I'm back now! All of the workers are gone! Our foundation was repaired, we have a new roof, and a new AC/Heat system! WOO HOO!!
~~~~ I'm still fighting with Piper to keep her from jumping on me..... man, you should see the bruises on my legs! Oh how she has grown! I truly believe that her legs grow an inch every night! And, just look how long she is!!
Piper is already 36 pounds!!!
~~~~I've continued to catalog Jeffrey's comics, insert the support cards behind the comics, and put protective sleeves on the ones that didn't have one. There are just a few more to catalog, and then we will need to getting them organized, alphabetically, and section off the different comics then sort the comics in order of their story lines. We will then have a complete list to get the comics insured. I had to go to the comic book store to purchase more backing cards and sleeves, and while I was there...... wait for it...... I BOUGHT 2 MORE X-MEN COMICS TO ADD TO THE COLLECTION!! LOL!! I couldn't help myself! Hmmm.... looks like it might become a regular thing to do! :)
~~~~~~Online shopping is way TOO EASY!! I've been purchasing x-mas stuff from QVC & HSN - my 2 Favorite places to shop from! I think I'm done, but who really knows. I just might like something I see today!
~~~~~FW and I are going to visit a Skateboard shop, which belongs to one of Jeffrey's best friends, to purchase a Skateboard for a very special little boy! This will be his first skateboard! I'm so excited!
~~~~A very good friend is coming for a visit on Monday. She has moved far, far away, so it will be very good to see her again! :) You know, it's funny (funny weird) how 2 of my very good friends that I knew when we all lived in Austin, well, we all moved to the same city! Now, one of them has moved away, so this will be a great visit.
~~~~~I hope that all of you have a great Turkey day! We will be visiting our lovely daughter for TG and spend a few days afterwards. Can't wait!
HAPPY THANKS GIVING!!

HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN

~~~~Well, here it is again one year later, Halloween. I used to love Halloween. We'd pick out costumes for our 2 children, then one of us parents would take the children into the neighborhood for Treats! We'd take turns doing this every year.
~~~~Jeffrey's friends would just love to come over to see how I had decorated our home for Halloween. I went all out. Every year I would find a new piece to add to our collection. It was so much fun scaring the kids (not the itty bitty ones!). We tried to tone it down for them when they came to the door.
~~~~~I had Halloween lights on the windows, voice boxes disguised as a spooky house, that would make a scary sound when you walked up to the door. Haha... it made quite a few jump, and then they'd laugh afterwards.
~~~~~Our front door acquired a squeak after a time, and I wouldn't let DH oil it cuz it made such a perfect Squeak for Halloween! I'd open the door slowly.... and, I'd be dressed up as a witch, usually. The lights would be blinking on the windows, and inside, I had black lights on outside. So, when I opened the door slowly and they saw me in costume, and I played the part... oh, the older kids were excited, and the little ones.... haha... sometimes I could not make myself "friendly", just cuz my voice was friendly, my looks certainly were not! LOL At least they had their parents to reassure them. :) I had so many decorations for the kids to look at, that they didn't mind waiting in line.
~~~~~ A couple of the years, I sat outside on a Rocking Chair, in my witch's costume with black lights on and just rocked back and forth, with a bowl of candy on my lap. Some of the kids were actually afraid to come up to me! I'd have to call out to them that it was alright, to come on over. I almost felt guilty telling them it's okay, I have candy. LOL
~~~~~It was funny, one year one of Jeffrey's friends inquired why was it that I had so many decorations out for Halloween, but didn't have as many for Christmas?
~~~~~After DH came home from trick or treating with the children, we finished off giving out the rest of the candy and then turn off all the lights so we could check out the kid's candy, and get them ready for bed. Those were fun times.
When Alexis was off to college and Jeffrey was already late in his teens, of course, he would go out to parties with his friends.
~~~~~ Every year, in the morning, we would awaken to Toilet Papered trees, and all kinds of new Halloween decorations in our yard.... NEW decorations, that we did not own! Jeffrey's friends (all girls - if you can imagine that -) would decorate our yard year after year.
Of course, we would get after Jeffrey and make him clean it up. He was none to happy about it, but the girls continued their tradition! We hurriedly hid our new decorations in our garage, cuz we had no idea where they had come from! We never used them for fear of retaliation! LOL
~~~We've missed this ritual these past 3 years. I now, of course, look back fondly on these times, and miss those days.
~~~ I sent a message to the girls today: Who is going to decorate our lawn tonight?

The Roof Gets Repaired (Talk about Noise!)

So, now that the foundation repair guys have left, we no longer hear the jack hammers and the other loud noises that came with it. The roofers started today! So, the jackhammers are replaced by tearing the roof off and pounding the new roof on. Here are some pictures when they are just getting started.

What the heck is up there in the tree? You can see it on the picture on the right, way up high. To quote "The Queen" - "WTF"??

HAHA.... I suppose this could be another use for our tree. The day was a beautiful day, but started out chilly. I guess the worker got hot and need to hang his jacket somewhere.

~~~Poor piper, loud noises scare her. She's been cowering in corners where ever they are not hammering. Or, she will come and sit close to me. Right now she is underneath my legs under the desk. I'd take a picture of her, but the camera is in the other room.
~~~~~~~They didn't warn us to move things off of shelves. All of my pictures fell off of the Mantle! We had some coins up there that belonged to Jeffrey, and we had them by his picture. They all fell. I hope I picked all of them up for Piper's sake! One of my knick knacks fell and broke. :(
~~~~~~While there were up on the roof, I asked them if they could put in some new florescent lights in the skylight. Those lights have been there since we moved in (brand new), 19 years ago! Only one was turning on- but weak.
~~~~They said no problem so they removed the lights. They will insert the new ones that DH is going to pick up tonight. COOL!! I've been asking DH to take care of this, but he keeps finding excuses! Sometimes..... ooooo - that DH! :)

UH-OH... I just went into the kitchen and there are pieces of the roof and dirt that has fallen through the sky light, onto the island and my floor!! I'll have to let them know so they can close it properly.

Never has our driveway looked so lovely.

So, the banging has gotten louder throughout the day. They say they will be finished tomorrow! I thought it might be at least 3 days! That's probably good because it might rain the next couple of days. YIKES!

Piper at the Beach!

We took Piper to the beach last month, and have just now downloaded pics. I know! Piper had a blast! We did too. It was a beautiful day, and there were not too many people.

Piper just Loved the waves! We took turns walking her out into the water, and when I was walking into the water, she didn't pull back, she started jumping around! Hmm.. I wonder if she will do that when she is all grown up?
She's getting BIG!!

~~~~Of course, we just walked her along the edge of the waves. We got a lot of comments - or should I say Piper got a lot of "Oh, how cute!; oooo... can I pet her?; She's beautiful, how old is she?"; And that talk led to, well.. just dogs. What kind they have, and so on.
~~~~~Piper tried to eat sand. Now that was funny! She also tried to drink the salty water. She didn't like that, but kept giving it another try .. until she had enough. LOL Instead, we encouraged her to eat her food & fresh water!

~~~~~ We walked her up and down that beach and encouraged her to jump in the waves as they came up to meet us. We were determined to wear her out, so she would be calm when we got home. NO LUCK! Can you believe that??
~~~~ Yeah, wishful thinking! I think she was reaady to go home. She slept all the way home. It's amazing what a 25 minute ride, power nap will do. DH got her in the tub and bathed her. Then she was full of energy, while we were wiped out and just wanted to chill after our showers.

~~~~ I wish I had that much energy!
Foundation Guys Finished!!
Slept in. Foundation guys are gone, $$$$$$, and 4 days later. Now for the Roof guys! Oh joy! That means I get to walk Piper out in the yard for potty and can't let her run agaga in the yard! POOH!! It was soooo very nice to sleep in for a change (sry to those that have to get up early); but I didn't have to be on call in case the guys had questions, cuz they were Gone!
~~~~~~~~ Today has been a much better day. I could let Piper out all by herself, and she seemed to Love it too! I peeked out the window, and she was running the length of the yard in circles! So, I got to eat brunch and watch my recorded Y&R w/o fighting with Piper! Alright! Both of us are happy! Um... I wonder... How long will that last?
~~~~~~~~~Roof guys were supposed to start today. Was delayed already cuz of rain, so they are not here today. And, GUESS WHAT?! IT'S RAINING!! That means another delay. At least a couple of more storms are on their way. It looks like the roofers won't start until next week. Pooh!
~~~~~~~Having major Tstorms here right now. Winds in excess of 60mph. Hail in some spots. I thought I heard something hit the window! Could it be??? HEY! Maybe the wind will blow off our roof then the Insurance will have to pay for it to be replaced! WooHoo - ah a gal can dream....

AAGGHHH.... PIPER!

So, today started out early for me, cuz the workers for the foundation work we are doing at our home would be here. My usual routine after waking is to take Piper out for potty. Today she has to stick to a smaller grassy area since the guys have dirt dug up everywhere. When she poos, in the yard, she makes it right in the center of the walkway by our flower garden. Hmmm... I should pick it up so the workers won't step in it. Ah, don't really want to. Besides, it is my yard, so I leave it there. I try to sit and watch morning talk shows while drinking my iced tea, until I'm no longer groggy.

~~~~~~~~~~Piper had other ideas. She wanted to play, she's jumping on me. Groan. I thought, hey, the weather is cool this morning (low 70s), so if I take her for a walk, she'll calm down and let me chill! DH took her collar off one night we came back from Jazz Fest (buzzed) and now, we can't find it! So, I had to use her choke collar. Well, might as well do some training along the walk. ~~~~~~~~~~~~It took me at least 10 minutes to get everything that I needed for the walk. Lock doors, get ponytail holder, cap, cut up some treat (from sausage roll - for dogs); grab cell, grab sunglasses, put leash on dog. Out the door we go!
~~~~~ I say G'Morning to the guys. G'Morning they say. THEN, one guy asks: Can you move the car out of the drive way so we won't hit it with the shovel? I said, let me get the key. So, we come back inside (bummer for Piper). Can't find the key. Call DH. Find key, tried to put in gear, it won't turn on. Dead battery. No other cars around, just HUGE work truck. Sorry guys.
~~~~~By now, my knee has begun to hurt... grumble, grumble... and now I have to go for a walk. I go in house, get Piper and head out for walk.
~~~~It's nice and cool, Piper's too excited and keeps jumping. I work with her a bit and she settles down for treats. Walk going pretty good. All of a sudden I'm walking with resistance. She does this when she wants to stop and smell the roses (or poop, as it were). NO, not this time. This time she IS taking POOP on the SIDEWALK!! The HORROR!! Quickly, I look around to see if anyone is peeping out the windows. I did not bring a bag to pick up poop! I didn't expect it! She never poops or pees on my walk. We do that before walk at home. Oh Crapdiddly! I can't leave it in the middle of the sidewalk! What to do? AhHa! There are some big leaves on the ground, so I pick it up with leaves. I was gonna leave it at the edge of the sidewalk beside grass, but then I thought, ah, they need fertilizer anyway. ~~~~~~~~~Off we go. I jog, then I slow down. This is to get Piper to do whatever I want to do. This is my walk. She's learning and does pretty good. Then I do some quick turns and stops. After stopping, I say "heel", then we start walking again. The other trouble I had with her was to keep her from walking in front of me. I kept having to tug at her collar. Made it home. WHEW! Now I'm all HOT. It's now 79 degrees.
~~~~~~ Now, I take off her collar & leash, and put away the treats, change from sun glasses, get a drink, gate off the "no enter areas", then sit down to watch my videotaped "Desperate Housewives". Piper keeps bothering me, jumping on me, ringing bell (tied on door - to go out), ahhh...
~~~~~~~I've got to let her out. We're trying to train her to ring bell hanging on the door knob to go potty, so I have to take her out. I put back on her collar/leash & go outside. All she wants to do is chew leash and jump around! I can't let her out alone cuz of the workmen. Grrr..... so we go back inside. So, I never started Housewives, cuz I was busy cleaning up pee in the carpet when she escaped w/o me looking. Then I decided, while we were in backyard walking to find a potty spot, to go ahead and pick up the poop from earlier, cuz I didn't want to step in it! (HA, serves me right!)
~~~~~~~~~~Grabbed some paper towels, picked it up, threw it in toilet, (that's when I found pee on the carpet), I flushed, and went to clean up pee. Went to throw toilet paper in toilet. OOPS, it's clogged -- CRAP!! and DOUBLE CRAP!!!
~~~~~~~~~After I throw the soaked TP in other bathroom, I check on the clogged toilet. Ah, good, the water has gone down, so I flush it. YIKES, the water is rising back up to the top!! Please, oh please, don't overflow!!! Nope, it didn't listen to me... SPLASH... All around the toilet area floor.... CRAP, AGAIN! This time, little bitty pieces of poop rise with the water.... NOOOOOO...... Not that too!!!!!
~~~~~~~I check on it later. The water has receded, but NO... No-Way, am I going to flush again! I'm too busy to look for the plunger. I'll leave that for DH. After all, he is the one that wanted the dog. hehe....
~~~~~~~~~Done with that. OK, just maybe I can make some breakfast! It's almost 11:00, time for The Young and The Restless to start! Piper keeps up her behavior while I try to have my breakfast/lunch. I've had enough! I take Piper and put her in her kennel! ~~~~~~~So, now I am able to finish brunch, then watch Housewives & Y&R, cuz I've missed both! Since I recorded them both, I get to fast forward thru the commercials. THEN, I fall asleep in the chair!
I get piper out 2 hrs later. Ah, it was nice to finally do what I wanted. She is good the rest of the day! WHEW!! Hope tomorrow's better, but I doubt it, cuz workers will be coming back.

Cataloging Comic Books & More

I'm cataloging Jeffrey's comic books. I'm happy to be doing this for Jeffrey, for DH and I ..... it's something he would have done eventually, especially with the new downloads for cataloging comic book collections. Some days I feel good about it and actually happy, even with a couple of glasses of wine.
~~~~~~~Then, there are some days that I pick up a comic book, and touch the tape that Jeffrey used to seal the plastic sleeve over the comic book, and I touch the same tape, run my fingers over it... and just think that I am touching the same tape that my Jeffrey touched once before while doing the same thing, taping the sleeve shut to protect the comic book. It's as simple as something like that - that jars you into your reality.
~~~~~~~~~And, it makes me so sad and make me cry - makes me miss him oh so terribly. Like I said before: there are good days and bad days. Yes, they still come, and I imagine that they always will come.... sometime - anytime, when not expected.
~~~~~~~~~~I spoke to Alison's father yesterday to find out how they are doing. That question always perplexed me. People would call up and ask how are you doing? Well, I just lost my child, how the heck do you expect I am doing? But, I respond, Good. It's really not fair to them. What else is there to say when you are checking on your loved one that you are so worried about?
~~~~~~~~~So, yesterday I hesitated asking the question when I called Alison's parents, knowing exactly how they are feeling.... in shock and devestated.
~~~~~~~~But, not knowing what else to day... YES, ME.... Not know what to say after going through the same thing. I ended up saying, I'm just calling to see how y'all are doing. Amazingly enough, Alison's mom had gone back to work, just 2 weeks afterwards! Her husband expected her to come home about lunchtime. They are still in shock. I was in shock for a year - 2 yrs. It's just so very hard to wrap your brain/heart around what has actually happened. To us, it's like a nightmare that we pray that we will wake up and discover that is was just that, a nightmare. That happens every night, until we wake up the next morning.
~~~~~~~~~Byron and I had a good converation that lasted about 45 minutes. I let him talk mostly and interjected when it was the right time. It was like reliving the whole nightmare again. But, this time, I hope to help give them some comfort in some way. Probably in just knowing that we have gone through the same thing, and that we will understand their feelings that no one... not their family, nor their friends, who have never experienced the same nightmare, will understand. That's just the way it is.

~~~~~~~~I found a new picture behind the boxes of his comic books. It apparently had fallen off of the wall. I had not seen it before. It is Jeffrey and some friends, that I'm sure I have met, just cannot remember their names! LOL Ah, he had just sooo many friends. :) I'll have to ask around. Every new picture to me, feels like I can just reach out and touch him.
NaNa NaNa NaNa NaNa.... BATMAN! And, Home Improvements
~~~~~~We have been working towards getting some major work done on our home. You know $$ is always a factor. But, we've started! I was telling DH about how a blogger friend's husband is getting a lot of repairs done around the house! You see, she supervises and her husband, and he does the work! It's a match made in Heaven! (K, do you recognize yourself?) I'm trying the supervising thing out. So far so good!
~~~So, after bragging about all of the repairs/remodeling her husband is doing, maybe I just struck a nerve with my DH. Maybe not, but whatever, he started with something minor. We got rid of our curtains and put in blinds! I'm not sure what kind of window treatment I might add yet. Anyway, it looks very nice!
~~~Here is a picture of Batman on the Mantel ledge that my son put there when he was little... maybe about 11yrs? One day a few years back, when Jeffrey was about 20 I guess, I was dusting and decided to take down Batman. We've gotten used to it being there so we never really noticed it there. Well, when Jeffrey saw what I was doing, He got all excited and said "NO".... Please put Batman back! He belongs there! I want him to stay there. (Sweet, huh?)

~~~~Well, I was surprised, but had to smile that he still wanted Batman to hang around, possibly to remind us of his childhood (do young men actually think like that - or is that just my wording? lol); but, since he still collected many Batman, and super hero comics, it meant a lot to him whatever the case. It made me nostalgic, and I placed Batman back on the ledge.
~~~~ To this day, Batman is still there, and I imagine it will remain there as long as I am alive. Hmm.... maybe I should put that in my will. :) Nice memories. Always thinking of some of them.

Please Let Sleeping Dog Sleep

~~~~This morning I actually woke up EARLY!! Ok, it was 7:30... Major early for me! I tried to go back to sleep - no dice. As I stirred around, I tried very hard to not lift my head too high, and keep the squirming to a minimum. I didn't want to wake "the Dog". So, I very carefully, squirmed my way to the edge of the bed, then I slinked over the wooden bed frame (waveless water bed). Finally, I slinked onto the carpet.
~~~~~If I lift my head over the bed, or stand, she will immediately awake! She sleeps with half an eye open! So I c r a w l to the door. I slowly open the door so she won't wake (who knows if door will creek or not). Then crawl out the door! YEA!! I MADE IT!!! Big *SIGH*. So, I happily stand up and walk over to the kitchen. Yea, I can watch some talk shows while I have breakfast! ~~~~~As I round the corner.... I see the family room. The side table is toppled over with all the remotes on the floor, DH's boots are scattered on the floor; one sock is missing. Then I see it - uh, I mean her..... DH had her hooked to her leash, (attached to my Gazelle) with lots of leeway for her to move around (had flexi leash). I guess she ate the other sock.
~~~~OH CRAP!! You mean I had done all that slinking and crawling and being ever so quiet to get out of my bedroom and SHE WASN'T EVEN IN HER KENNEL???!!!
Good Morning to Me.
Alison Fredrich Berry ~ 1978-2009 RIP Sweet Alison ~ We Will Miss You
~~~Alison passed away in an head on automobile collision on Thursday, October 1, 2009. She died on impact. Alison has been a best friend of my daughter since Jr. High school. I remember when Alison used to come over to our home, along with a few more friends, and practice drill team routines in our front room where we have a wall of mirrors.
~~~The girls loved to practice their routines together. The drill team was known as The Tigerettes. Alison and Alexis would study together either at her home, or in our home. They both were very concientious girls who cared about school and their responsiblities at home and in school. They were very involved in school. Then they would relax and have fun outside of school also.
Alison was 31 years young. Alison received a Masters and Doctorate Degree of Audiology. Coincidentally, the same field of work that Alexis is in. Alison was outgoing and an extremely kind and loving person. She will be missed.
Piper's A Growing Girl!
DH says that Piper is Getting fat. Me: Nah, she's a growing girl! The trainer says that it is now time to feed her only twice a day. But, I can't see that. She eats at 5:30 a.m., and I usually feed her again at noon when I eat; then we feed her about 6:00p.m. She needs to eat at noon! She just stares at me with those sad puppy eyes looking at her dish. Ok, we are supposed to pick up her dishes too after she eats (water too). Sometimes we forget.
~~~~ So, last night as Piper is walking to her kennel, DH and I follow behind her, and I ask: Do you really think that Piper is getting fat? We both look at her as she walks away from us. We see her round tummy sway from side to side, right in the middle of her skinny hips and we both LAUGH hard!!

OK, OK.... I will start weening her off the lunch; and/or maybe DH shouldn't feed her so early. Hmm.... gotta talk about that, cuz she is already on a routine with DH in the a.m.
This is a picture of the Canine Coach and DH & I walking Piper while in training. See that cute little round pooch of a stomach? LOL!!!

Dings, Alarms, Bells.....

~~~~~Piper has learned that when DH's alarm rings in the morning at dark thirty, it is time to get up... RIGHT THEN! If DH, dilly dallies around, squirming in the bed, just to get up the will to get up... Piper keeps whining and whining until he gets up and takes her outside to potty.
~~~~~This morning, I received a "ding" from my phone. It was a text from FW at just past dark thirty... well, it really wasn't that early... I just wasn't up yet. So, Piper immediately starts whining -- telling me that my alarm went off, so it is time to get up! That'll teach me to remember to turn off the sound on my phone!
~~~~~ I tried to lay very still so Piper would think I was still asleep, cuz if she sees me stirring, she will get louder! Dang! My foot is cramping! Dang, dang, dang! Slowly I try to maneuver my foot to stop the cramping. Not working very well, but still gonna try. THEN.... BOOM!!!!! The electricity goes out the moment it THUNDERS VERY LOUDLY! Now, that is something that made me shoot out of bed! Piper gets her way.
~~~~The first thing I need to do is to take her potty outside. Boy, is it really pouring outside! I sit on the patio chair waiting for Piper to go potty on the grass, in the rain, trying to coax her. Instead, she starts eating any little bug that crawls her way. Ewww... Piper, take that nasty thing out of your mouth! I have to pull it from her lips as it is dangling there crawling and she can't shake it off! Yuck... Bug in my hands... yuck, yuck.... (yeah, I don't like bugs).
AW MAN..... I'm gonna have to walk out on the grass so she will too so she will go potty! So, I stand out in the rain while she starts sniffing around. !@#$%^@$ I sneak onto the porch as she is still sniffing for a good spot.
~~~~~ What a lovely way to start the day.
Shuttle-cock????
Does anyone know what a shuttle-cock is?? I didn't, until I had to look for one in a game that I was playing. Just like in a "Where's Waldo?" book. I just learned what that item is, while playing one of these games to relax me until bed. It is the badminton "rubber thingy" that we hit back and forth while playing the game!
~~Does anyone remember anyone remember referring to that "rubber thingy" as a shuttle-cock? Maybe the teachers/coach would have been put up before the school board! (Oh, I'm so bad.... but Hello!!!!!! ..... who in the heck made up that name??!!) How about Badminton ball? It does have a little rubber ball at the end.
~~While playing this game, I was supposed to look for 10 shuttle-cocks; and I had no idea what I was looking for!
~~~ Finally, one appeared, and so did the name, and it was then, that I learned the name. LOL

Ok, I hope I'm not the only one that didn't know this!!

Been Busy Cataloging & Our Service Men & Women

Hi Y'all.
I have found, and downloaded, a program to catalog Jeffrey's many, many comic books. We started collecting them when he was a child. The idea was to use them for college $, when the time came. Yeah, right. Both he and I were attached to them and didn't want to let them go. I figured he could use them when he went out on his own.
~~~~So, now, I have all of these comic books. I'm enjoying seeing all of the comics that we began to collect together and that he continued to collect. As he became an adult....., he happened to be introduced to some "adult" comics. HA... Too funny! I'm so glad that he enjoyed the hobby that we started. I don't know what we will do with them once we catalog them all and find out what the going rate is for all of them. Probably keep them.
~~~I also started his uncle Patrick (my baby brother - 14 yrs younger) to collect comics when he was a young boy. I myself had enjoyed "Archie" comics when I was a child. Y'all remember Archie, Jughead, Veronica & Betty??? Oh, come on, I know some of you do! My grandma would stop at the drugstore after church (we walked to and from the house); and we would have a chocolate shake and each get a comic book. I don't remember what my brother got.
Anyway, I'm cataloging these comics, so that's where I've been. We are leaving this week to visit my 20 yr old nephew, who is on 2wk leave, before he is shipped to Kuwait. :(
Please, everyone, pray for Michael to have a safe life to and from Kuwait.

Talk to y'all later! Peace out! :)

Piper and Her New Adventures

Hi Y'all. I've been gone for a while. I had a bad week or so; and didn't feel like getting on the computer. You know, I still have these "bad days/week". Mostly when they come, it is just a day or two, but anyway, I did not feel like being on the computer for a while. I just couldn't focus. I'm all better now. :) I'll try to catch up on y'alls blogs as I can. Right now, I'm working on projects for Jeffrey.
~~~~~~~There are a lot of little cute things that Piper did that I could write about.... now, if I could only remember! Maybe in time.
~~~~~~~Here's one! Yesterday, FW picked up Piper and I, and we went to spend the day with her, Farmer Jr. & Lil Gal (when they got out of school).
~~~~~~~Do y'all know, that when one packs for a dog to go somewhere for a while, you pack lots of things; as if you were packing for a baby!! Come on... really?? YES!! And I even forgot some things! So, as if it wasn't a busy morning already, packing for the baby (Piper), loading most all except the kitchen sink (here is a picture of her HEAVY kennel - for those who don't remember);
and we also had to stop at our wonderful Super HEB (huge store - for staples, like Wine...).
~~~~~~We get to FW's home, so I hook up Piper's leash to a patio chair so I can help FW unload (there's LOTS). When we looked out on the patio to see how she is doing, while we put together the kennel, we both GASP! She's NOT THERE!!! All we see is the patio chair thrown in the back yard on its side. DUH... ME.... I didn't check to see how heavy the chair was!!
~~~~We both run around the perimeter of the house, different directions, and then scour the acres of fields, trying to decide which direction she has gone! She won't respond to "Piper Come!"; as we learned just the night before with our Canine Coach. FW figures that she saw a bird and chased it into the fields, only taking the muddy road down to the In-Laws' home. FW tells me to call her MIL to let her know that Piper is headed her way! ARE YOU LAUGHING YET??? YOU SHOULD BE... Just imagine....
~~~~~~~ Then I come back out to help with the search! FW has a head start. She waves me to go back... but I want to help find Piper. I figure 4 eyes are better than 2!
~~~~~~~ When my legs start feeling heavy and I look down at my shoes (sandals in MUD). Now I now know why FW wanted me to go back! I start going back to the house and wait in the yard. My sandals are CAKED with Heavy Clay Mud! FW finally spots Piper just sitting in the field with tall crops all around her, tilting her cute little head, looking at FW all innocent! FW finally coaxes her out. I can see the MIL standing at the end of the mud road keeping an eye out. We both wave to her that we found her, as she sees this when she spots the pup on the leash.
~~~~~~~~It is a loonnnggg trek back to the backyard and all three of us are covered with mud! Well, FW & I, mostly our shoes and feet, and we can barely see the Brindle markings on Piper! So, we leave our shoes out on the drive-way.
~~~~~Afterwards, FW gives Piper A BATH!!! We cleaned up then FW and I sat down to create some book markers made out of pictures of Jeffrey, Alexis & DH that we took in one of those photo boxes that are found in restaurants and other establishments. This particular restaurant is named Chuys. It is one our favorite restaurants in Austin. We would take pictures in that booth, that everytime we went there. We covered the pictures with Laminate sheets to be used as book markers. They look great! I'll use these for stocking stuffers.
~~~~~~~~~~~Piper pretty much stayed in the kennel most of the day unil it was time to eat. Then when the kids got home, all three went out running around the house on a leash, to tire her out!
~~~FW, have I left anything out? All in all, it was an exciting day. :)
SLEEPNESS NIGHTS & PIPER
Woke up this morning (wee hours of the morn) singing the song: Because of You, By Reba & Kelly Clarkson. :) Love the song, but I could not get it out of my head! AND, I was not happy with my blog posted earlier, thinking I'd had one vino too much, in my mind (in my mind, heck, I probably did!), I could hardly wait to get up to change it and kept thinking of different senarios! MAN! What a Fitful Sleep!!
It was a much better day today. The Canine Coach came today. Although Piper kept jumping at me while I went this way and that way with laundry and whatever.... I carried a spray bottle of water and anytime she interrupted my day by tugging on me, my clothing, or my laundry, I sprayed the water on her. At first she didn't like it, but I think she was getting used to it and thought of it as a game, like she does everything!
~~~I really liked Floyd a lot. He was well prepared and seemed very knowledgeable. He had a booklet for me, and he told me what notes to write where, and underlined and *** anything he told me to! Wow. What a difference! BUT, as in all things, when he left with all his goodies, about after an hour and a half, Piper was re-energized and it was like Floyd was never there!
~~~~ When he first got there, we sat at the kitchen table. Piper immediately jumped on his leg an he immediately pushed at her nose with his opened hand and said OFF! WOW, my Hero! She didn't get back up on him the whole time we were there talking! And, all he said it was ONCE!!!
~~~~~~He told me that if I felt Piper's snot on my hand once I pushed at her nose, and told her OFF, and she sneezed, I had done it right. EEEWWWWW........ Snot??? The first time I tried it after he left I apparently didn't do it right. 1) I did not have SNOT on my hand. 2) Piper jumped back up on me, again, and again.... POOH!!
~~~ I guess I have to shove harder. EEwwww.... He said I wouldn't hurt her... and I saw that it DID work... Note: Need to work upper arms tonight.
HA -- FUNNY, It was piper's bedtime, so I went to open the kitchen door to the patio to let her out for potty. YUCK, step in WET! I don't know when she did this cuz I was at computer & she was with DH who was asleep in chair... So we let her out anyway, as I wipe the floor and we leave the door open. Piper comes back in and WHOOP! SLIDES - All for legs go opposite sides! HAHA ... Made me laugh, like an ice skater does when not sure footed on the ice! Like ME! hahahaha.....
Ah, this little pup give me much laughter, I just wish I was young enough to care for the "Energizer Bunny"! Now, If I was still doing Jazzercize twice a week with FW like we used to do, I would be in Great shape!! Sadly, that is not the case.
HAVE A WONDERFUL REST OF THE WEEK!!
PLANTS & A BOXER
We have been without rain for at least a year, more or less. Anyway, we received some rain for about 2 weeks! It was too late for the farmers, but it was appreciated just the same. Our lawns are green and our plants are thriving! Take a look!
~~~~~Well, they were thriving, until Piper happened! I left her outside most of the day, with breaks into the house for water and naps. I checked on her often, but apparently not enough!

I was not able to get the picture of the half eaten plant; but you can imagine... it is the colorful one up front. Two branches gone. Leaves scattered in the back yard. No more unsupervised visits outside!
~~~~~~I telephoned a "Canine Coach" yesterday. He is coming over tomorrow afternoon. I hope I see fast results! Yes, he comes to the home! Isn't that great?! Even though I love this little pup, I still envision her living with Alexis starting Thanksgiving when we visit her. I'm hoping that we can get the training bit down before the transition.
~~~~~I just can't handle the responsibility of this rambunctious pup. I can't handle the accidents (of all sorts) - running under tables, knocking things over, plant eating, the running leap to jump on top of me, the biting , the scratching, front and back. She literally throws herself at me, and she's only getting bigger. Then I have to follow her around the house when she does leave my side to make sure she doesn't potty in the house, then take her out, for her to do nothing, then when we come in, she potties.
~~~~~~ Another thing is that I cannot have Jeffrey's door open all the time. I miss walking into his room whenever I want, taking a look around, and not worrying about what Piper is destroying now. I miss viewing the inside of his room and listening to his music, when I pass it in the hall.... I think that I am ready to tackle some of the projects of keeping Jeffrey's collectibles preserved and ready for display; and that takes time without constant interruption. I am stressed out most of the time now. During Jeffrey's childhood, he started to put stickers on his bedroom door. So, now it is covered with stickers. It's a nice memory. Well, Piper started jumping on it and started tearing the stickers off with her nails and teeth. Yet, another reason I'm not happy having her here.
~~~~~Ah, things could always change. Who knows? But, I just hope that DH won't give me grief over this. It shouldn't come as a surprise, I've been mentioning this to him and Alexis over and over, so they will get used to the idea. After all, this is her dream dog dog that she finally purchased, and then she gives it to us?
~~~~~~~~ Although I have come to love her, I've have neither the energy, nor the patience for this dog. She needs to run everyday for exercise, and play all day, and I know Alexis would be able to give her what she needs.
