The Wedding (Forgotten memories!)

Okay, so I was just a little buzzed, when I got home from the wedding, so I don't know why I forgot to mention this first; but, I forgot to mention some very cool things that were part of the wedding reception.
~~~~~First of all, at the reception hall, the decor was simple, but very elegant. There were round tables with floor length white lace table cloths showing a black table cloth underneath, for the guests. There was a vase with red roses (Bride's choice of flowers were Red Roses).
~~~~~~Ok, the BEST part.... Wait for it.... They had square shot glasses with their names engraved on them with the wedding date..... along with..... A Bottle of Silver Patron! Woo Hoo!!!
~~~~~~~~ That is the very first time I have ever seen anything like that done. That was fun, and, we have Shot Glasses as souvenirs! Very cool!
Amy & James' Wedding
OH, just got home from one of Jeffrey's best friend's Wedding & Reception. Amy and Jeffrey were part of a group that hung out together since Jr. High School. It was a beautiful Wedding. Amy told me that Jeffrey would have been her best man. Not sure which side he would have stood on. LOL.....
.... Amy had a gorgeous gown! She looked so beautiful! She was glowing! The wedding itself was so moving. Of course, I cried. One, for Jeffrey not being there to be a part of it; another, for being so happy that Amy was so happy that she had found the love of her life.
...... I was able to see and visit with most of all of Jeffrey's best friends (he had many ~ it was a very close knit group); it was just great! I even danced with the bride! Yes, Amy insisted! Amy's favorite band in the world is The Beatles. The pianist in the church was playing Beatles music while we waited for the Wedding to start! It was great! Such great songs! I can't remember the song that was playing when she came down the aisle, but the song when they left the alter was Here Comes The Sun...
....... The music at her Reception was music that we grew up with; Jimmy Hendrix (Amy and her dad's dance)... oh, I can't remember the names of the other songs... but it was from our era! Amy is only 26. After a while, the DJ played some later hip hop music, and some George Strait! I was pleasantly surprised. But, then again, this group of kids have always had a wide variety of music that they have listened to and enjoyed.
...... I can't remember the last time I had such a good time at a wedding, besides our own. Oh, excuse me..... FW's wedding was super too!!
All in all, it was a very special and emotional evening.
New Movies!
I saw two new movies today. The first was Ice Age. It was funny and cute. I've only seen the first Ice Age, and thought that it was funnier.
~~~~So, since I had time to kill, and it was HOT outside, I also saw the movie The Hang Over. Oh man! That was Hilarious!!! It was just a little raunchy, for those of you that can't handle that, but otherwise, it had us ROFLAO!!
~~~~~~~~~~ Has anybody seen The Hang Over? How did you like it?
Drinking Game
Was watching Frasier last night, just sipping on my wine, when that particular episode had Frasier, his brother and his dad playing a drinking game! They were watching the Antique Road Show and every time they said the word "Veneer", they would take a gulp of their beer/sherry.
Soooo..... I just HAD to play along! Needless to say, I drank just a little more wine that way! LOL
Was fun, and a funny episode!
HAPPY 4TH!
Did everyone have a happy 4th of July? Hope so!
~~~~~~~~~~We went to an annual Art Festival which always occurs on the weekend closest to July 4th. It sure was HOT, but it was a lot of fun too! I found a very cool coffee table that I just have to have! I won't tell you how much it cost, cuz it was way too much.... but I want it!! ~~~~~~~~~So, I picked up the artist's card, and just maybe we will get it delivered one day! There was some pretty cool stuff out there. The imaginations these artists have!
~~~~~~~~~Then we went into the Big Tent for some A.C., food, beer and good Country Music! The band was Great! We got to hear some George! ~~~~~~~~~Afterwards we went to our friends Bex and Tom's annual pool party. The beer flowed mighty smooth, and there was a lot of different foods to taste from. Although it was fun getting in the pool too, it's too bad that the pool felt like more of a warm springs.... Agghh... this 100 + HEAT!
Stay Cool!
Scary Night!
Last night was a scary one for me and The Teacher. My sweetie called me crying, at 1:00 a.m. (luckily, I was still awake), that she was in severe pain! She was pretty sure it was her kidneys and she wondered if she should go to the ER, but she was in so much pain that she didn't know what to do and was scared. The problem was that her roomie is out of town, all her friends live at least an hour away, and she had no one to take her; and she doesn't know anyone in the neighborhood.
~~~~~~After talking to her regarding her symptoms, etc., I suggested she call her Dr's office and that answering service would pick up, then they would have the Dr. "on call" call her back so they could discuss how severe it might be and if she should call an ambulance, or if she thought it would be ok to drive herself. Stupid Dr. only had an answering machine and several options: push 1 if your sick... blah blah blah.... stupid Dr's office!
~~~~~~~So, Sweetie called me back and I stayed on the phone while she got dressed to drive to the ER. That in itself was very difficult and painful! I felt so helpless! I wanted her to put her phone head set on so I could be right there with her in the car, but she didn't know where her head set was, so she said she would call me when she got there.
~~~~~~~Luckily, the ER wasn't far. She called me while at the ER so I could be there with her after she registered, etc. She was right. Both of her kidneys had an infection! So, they started her on an IV. It was gonna be a late night (so to speak).
At about 4:00 a.m., she told me to go to bed, as she would probably be there for a good while.
So, I made her promise not to drive if she was groggy, then went to bed.
I found a text from my Sweetie when I woke. She said she had left the hospital at 5:30a.m., and that she had to pick up her prescription, then she was going home to bed.
~~~~~~~After talking to her this afternoon, and this evening, she sounded so much better, and said that she only had some pain that wasn't too bad.
~~~~~~~I hate it that we are so far away from her! We are 7 Hrs away from her. I wish her prince charming would come around already and marry her! That way, she'd have someone to take care of her when she needs help.
~~~~~~What a scary night.
