As much Fun as an Empty Box!

Piper is at it again! This time it's a cute thing. I'm trying to find more fun stuff to play with. She's getting bored with what she has. So, I gave her an empty box. Remember how 1 yr olds, at their birthday parties, or at Christmas, love to play with the empty box? Well, she is just loving it!
Yes, she's ripping it up, but it is a challenge, and she's BARKING AT IT!! LOL

At first I thought she was barking at me to go potty - Yeah, right - but I looked at her and she is barking at it! TOO FUNNY!

Since I have her blocked in the family room/kitchen, she peed on the kitchen floor. :( I stepped on it when I stepped over the "blocker", and almost slipped!! Well, she got an earful, as much good as it did.

Here she is sleeping behind my recliner on top of her green pup!

Did I tell you about the first day she was here? DH & I were sitting in recliners watching tv. I got up to get something from the kitchen. As I close the recliner with my legs, I hear a THUNK! OMG!!! WHAT WAS THAT???!!! Did I break Piper???!!!

I quickly raised the chair and she was already running out from the back! Whew! That little girl! I think she has learned her lesson. I haven't seen her doing it again, although, I am always conscious getting out of that chair!

I found Piper chewing two appliance cords today. One is to the paper shredder, and the other was to a portable fan! She had pulled the cord of the fan out from the outlet, while it was on!!

Am I going to have to give up my life and follow her around like a puppy does? Hmmm......

When she came back to see me, she put her paw up and when I scratched her behind ears, she started pawing and scratching again, so I grabbed both paws and danced her around to the sounds of Kenny Chesney's song: She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy. She seemed to like it!

Love the naptime photo. ... I don't remember this much trouble with Andy, but of course, he was 3 pounds when we got him. I just made a pen for him in the entry hall at night with his crate. ... BTW it's the bittersweet chocolate that can be deadly for them, not milk chocolate, so we were cool.

Oh, milk chocolate. I didn't know.
Yeah, I was thinking of getting her a play pen. But, she'd chew through that! LOL

As much trouble as that little puppy is giving you, I'm seeing she's giving you a lot of love, too.

Dez, I've been looking at your photos on your sidebar of Jeffrey and his sister. They are such beautiful, precious photos. He really was a loving, fun person wasn't he?

Kay: Yes he was! You can tell that from his pictures? I'm so glad. He was that kind of person that everyone liked. He was unpretentious. He followed his heart, no fad. I believe that's why he was so loved by so many friends. Most of his very close friends still keep in touch. It is very comforting that they do. I do wish more would keep in touch; But I do realize that they are so young and just beginning to live their lives. And, I acknowledge that. But I do love to hear from them.
It is so hard to not acknowledge this in every conversation, because I miss him so very much. Oh damn! You caught me on the night I went to the Compassionate Friends meeting. All emotional.
You are so preceptive! I wish his teachers would have been that way. He hated his high school. I hated that he had to go there.
Oh crap. Tears are a flowing, and It's after 4:00a.m. I better close out so I can be somewhat alert to that hyper puppy.
Thanks for noticing that about Jeffrey. I miss him so.

What an adorable puppy. Sweetly sleeping....haha! Probably dreaming of ways to try to outsmart you later on! But really she is so precious. Did you try a Kong yet?

Dez, I'm sorry I may have caused you pain. As for Jeffrey's friends, some of them may be shy about keeping in touch thinking they may be reawakening pain in his loving family. I'm so glad you've got a support group to go to.

I had one class where I had three students who lost their mother, father and older sister. It's such a hard thing in life to be reconciled to. I admire your courage. All my students and families really benefited from having a support, grief counseling group to count on. Please know that we're all holding you in our hearts.

Thank you Kay. I really appreciated your words. Just knowing that Jeffrey is gone is and will always be painful. But, kind words, like yours, will always be welcome. As you probably know by now, with your experience in this area, we love to talk about our lost loved one(s).

CHERYL! I think I mentioned it somewhere... just not sure what blog date. I DID get an appropriate sized kong, and put Piper in her kennel with a kong full of peanut butter! She let us eat in peace! We did not let her out until we were ready, and we all were HAPPY! THANKS!!
