Does anyone know what a shuttle-cock is?? I didn't, until I had to look for one in a game that I was playing. Just like in a "Where's Waldo?" book. I just learned what that item is, while playing one of these games to relax me until bed. It is the badminton "rubber thingy" that we hit back and forth while playing the game!
~~Does anyone remember anyone remember referring to that "rubber thingy" as a shuttle-cock? Maybe the teachers/coach would have been put up before the school board! (Oh, I'm so bad.... but Hello!!!!!! ..... who in the heck made up that name??!!) How about Badminton ball? It does have a little rubber ball at the end.
~~While playing this game, I was supposed to look for 10 shuttle-cocks; and I had no idea what I was looking for!
~~~ Finally, one appeared, and so did the name, and it was then, that I learned the name. LOL
Ok, I hope I'm not the only one that didn't know this!!
HA! HA! HA! This is as funny as how my Honey says, Helicockter! He doesn't do it intentionally, his cousin does it too; it's a family trait I guess, not being able to pronounce the "P" in that word!
:-D
Hmmm...now you have started something....but I will behave! I had heard that word long time ago but probably after giggling over it many times, forgot it.
Fw: Cute!
Cheryl: What a weird name for that "thingy", right?
Hmmmm.... I've heard of a shuttle cock but what does it look like?
Kay: I'm gonna try and find a picture for you.
LOL, we always called it the badminton "birdie" instead! I guess no one wanted school kids saying the word "shuttlecock." My parents are equally guilty in this matter.
I know the difference, but I still call it the birdie. ;)
