A very cool thing happened to me yesterday. I stopped at our local grocers to pick up some cool drinks (beer ~ well, I was going to see FW); anyway, I was in the 10 or less grocery line, and there was this lady in front of me. She was just talking away to the man in front of her, just happy as a lark, just talking about nothing and everything.
The man left and then, there was only me! So, this lady turns to me and starts talking about why she is purchasing roses (for a co-worker), and she sees my beer (a 12 pack) and says "Whoa... I'm going home with you!" I said, "Come on, the more the merrier!"
So, as the checker is scanning her roses, she asks "is this all"? And, I say (as I point to my beer) "And, this too!"
The checker looks at me - then looks at the lady - and, I quickly say "NO, I was just kidding! That's mine." And the lady says, yes, put it on my tab, I'll buy it.
I say "No!, I was just kidding!" We go through this conversation at least twice, but when the checker looks at the lady with a questioning look, the lady says, yes, I'm buying that.
She leaves both the Checker and I with wide open mouths!
We can't believe that!
Meanwhile the lady keeps chattering cheerfully, while I thank her at least 3 times; and she says "Just pay it forward." I tell her I will. Cool huh? So, now, I'm looking forward to the next time when I can Pay it Forward.

THIS, I loved! ;-)
This gives me even more hope for peoplekind. She must have seen what a lovely person you were.
Oh what a wonderful story! Especially 'cause it involves booze. :-) ... Big smile here.
Why, thank you Kay.
FW & PRO: Yeah, that was fun and very surprising, not only cuz she bought it, but because it WAS booze!
This is a wonderful idea.. The King and I had that happen to us at the Steak house in Kearney... a couple comes in once a week.. pays for their meal.. and the next senior couple that comes through the door..
No one knows who they are except the clerks.. it was a pleasant surprise
