Well, that's what I purchased and surprised DH with! As a matter of fact, he liked it so much, that we went back the next day and bought the matching TV stand! And, THEN, we went to buy a 46" flat screen TV (this is what I had been hinting for, for Christmas, before I knew I was gonna get this furniture)! WHOA! Was that a surprise!! After not having new furniture for 20 years, I think this makes up for that. LOL
So, now, we get to surprise our daughter when she comes home!
P.S.: Don't miss the pictures of the Curio Cabinets, posted below!

Oh wow! What absolutely gorgeous furniture you picked out. I would put each and every piece in my home, thats how much I like them all. And the table and chairs, I have been looking at these and now I am thinking I might like such a set! The entry table looks very nice. And a tv for Christmas as well as the tv stand?? I guess you have been a very good girl this year LOL! How wonderful that you have done this for yourselves, especially since you mentioned its been 20 years. Sometimes you just gotta go for it.
Cheryl: Thanks! I love it too! About the kitchen table... it came with different chairs. The table we have now, had almost the exact same chairs, and were not padded either. I found these chairs with another table and Cheryl (saleslady & friend) said I could take these instead.
Love the furniture! It looks great!
I especially love that first table. I'd buy that, for sure.
Exciting about the new TV!! I bet your husband will enjoy that the most! :)
Em
Thanks Em! I bet you're right about the TV. :)
Thanks for telling me about your curio cabinet, Dez. I'd been wondering when you were going to have it up. I missed seeing it come up on my side bar as a new post.
And WOW! I mean WOOOOOW! I see why you purchased them. I would, too. The simple elegance of it is just perfect. I just LOVE it! Each piece is so beautifully matched. It's exactly what my kids have told us we should do. We keep buying separate pieces off of Craislist but you've done it right!
I've looked through your photos 4+ times just to admire all the pieces. The only thing we wouldn't have gotten is the diningroom set but that's because... ummm... we're short and I fall off of things, as you know. Still, I love the look of that as well. I can see why your husband is so happy!
And a TV to boot?
I'm going to call my husband over to look now.
Congratulations, Dez!!!
P.S. I do have to tell you that looking at Jeffrey's things made me tear up. I know it's what I would want to do and you've done it so beautifully.
Kay, Aw thanks, you made me tear up as well, and happy that you appreciated my set up for Jeffrey. I really like that entry table to show case Jeffrey's pictures along with family photos and the Skateboard tile ceremony. I'll have to post pictures of that if I haven't.
And, of course, the Curio Cabinets! Jeffrey's Christmas presents from us. :~D
Like y'all, we have bought one piece at a time, meaning to go back and get a set, but never did and ended up with a mesh-mosh. Is that a word? It just typed itself. LOL
Wow, I love it all! I see a beautiful and clean house like that and am sooooo jealous :)
Comfy chairs and all the rest, and a beautiful Nativity scene too!
Thanks Gary! Yes, I have to admit it does look nice. I ordered that nativity scene a long time ago. I love it! :-D
All the furniture truly does look great! You really made that room. And, of course I loved the cabinets for all of Jeph's keepsakes.
And, the table is like what we wanted before we inherited my Gramm's table. One day....
:-)
