We got a surprise visitor tonight! Roger came over this evening for a visit. He stayed about 2 hours. It was a GREAT visit. We are always so happy to see Jeffrey's friends.
Roger was one of the first friends that Jeffrey made when we moved here. Roger lived across the street. So, I've known him since he was 7 years old., and his mom "Jody" and I became friends.
Roger, DH and I reminisced about the good ole days. Jeffrey was always more of a leader (tho he didn't know it). He would just do whatever it was that he found interesting. The friends would think "oh, this is so cool", and follow suit. Jeffrey was fearless, every since he was 3 yrs old! - more stories about that later.
Jeffrey wanted Roller Blades, the latest fad, so we got roller blades for both Jeffrey and Roger. I was always happy that he wanted to do something that would keep him entertained and exercise at the same time. All of a sudden the roller blades were "Not Cool!" Jeffrey decided that it was for little kids who didn't know how to ride a skateboard, so he went back to skateboarding full time!
Roger and Jeffrey would run back and forth to each others' home all the time. :) We remembered the time when Roger's mom caught the boys looking at PLAYBOYS!! Jody noticed a stream of boys running into the house and up the stairs, so she went to investigate. She found the boys looking through stacks of Playboys in the attic! The boys must have been about 10 yrs old (Roger & I disagreed over the age, so I decided on 10 yrs).
Jody immediately chased the boys outdoors, then comes over to tell me. Oh, we were so shocked that the boys had seen them at this young age! But, then again, we Laughed so hard!!! Our little boys were growing up! Way too fast.

Happy to hear you got a nice visit in ... that was nice of his friend to stop by. :-)
Oh, and I just had to tell you, I knew there was a reason why I liked you when I saw Bentley. ... Ours is a *spoiled* Maltese named Andy (all 8 pounds of him) :-
Thanks for the smiles this evening.
More pictures!!! I adore pictures...especially smiley ones. :)
I'm so glad Roger came to visit and you had a chance to re-visit the happy times. Wonderful!! I laughed so hard about the Playboy thing. Good thing I don't have a cold cuz there would have been snot bubbles..lol. We had the same thing happen when our boys were little...funny times for sure.
You have a beautiful family!! And even though one was taken from you...you are truely blessed.
More pictures! YAY!
I love these stories. So glad Roger stays close.
And, Bently. Y'all need your own Bently at the house. So when the teach bring Bently they can play together :-)
PRO: Yes, we all love Bently. As I'm sure we would if we ever met Andy! I like the little ones. Never too much mess to pick up! My daughter calls him our Grandpup and we are referred to as Grandmama & Grandpapa (from Bently) :)
TT: I'm sure your honey was glad you didn't have snot bubbles too! I had some during December..... not pretty! LOL
I'm concerned that I'm putting too many pics up, cuz I have a hard time choosing which one to put up!
FW: Yes, I want a Bently for our very own. Although, I want a much lower price tag that most of them are going for these days. In time.....
Wait a minute, I am getting to know you, that picture up at the top, is that Nova???????It IS isn't it!!! OK, so there is a connection there, I am starting to see, and the blog names and all, AH HA!
Hey Gary, Yup, that's us! Back in our hey-day. Our bootscooting, twostepping, beer drinking days! Oh, we still drink beer, just not in bars! LOL
